Sedation

Dr. Mathew is a general dentist and has performed wisdom tooth removal and tooth removal for over 24 years, with general anesthesia. We use an outpatient surgical facility with a certified anesthesiologist performing the sedation to do dentistry on the apprehensive patient or a complex surgical treatment. Patients typically prefer to be fully asleep (general anesthesia) although a few patients with medical complications can only be put partially asleep (intravenous sedation). The outpatient surgical facility is accredited by Alberta Health Services to provide outpatient surgical procedures.
