Dentistry for Children

At our office we are happy to see children starting at approximately 3 years of age for their general check-ups. This is the age when most children will have a full set of 20 primary or baby teeth. If parents are concerned about any problems if their child is younger than 3 then we can certainly see the child to address the concerns and treat if necessary. We offer a variety of children’s services including oral hygiene instruction, polishing of baby teeth, cavity prevention sealants and referrals to orthodontists to prevent future misaligned permanent teeth.

For very apprehensive children we offer general anaesthesia (asleep) for basic dentistry and wisdom tooth extractions, Please see the area on Sedation for more details.
